Stefan Cassomenos returns to Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery to present two of the breathtaking summits of the 19th Century virtuoso piano repertoire – Alkan’s epically gothic Symphony for Solo Piano, alongside Liszt’s awe-inspiring transcription of Beethoven’s uplifting and iconic ode to joy, the Ninth Symphony.

Pianist-composer Stefan Cassomenos is one of Australia’s most vibrant and versatile musicians.

As recipient of the Second Prize in the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2013, Cassomenos has performed throughout Europe and Asia, and has performed concertos with orchestras in Australia and overseas. Cassomenos’ ensemble PLEXUS has commissioned and premiered over 110 works, and his own compositions are regularly performed throughout Australia. Cassomenos is co-Artistic Director of Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, with Monica Curro.
